School Seismic Risk Assessments Completed by Washington State

The Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction has completed earthquake risk assessments for just 43 percent of K-12 public schools with buildings constructed prior to 1998, according to state data. Many seismic evaluations completed by school districts have not been incorporated.
