Of 35 general acute-care hospitals in the San Joaquin Valley, 27 are designated by the state of California as birthing facilities with labor and delivery services, while eight others are not. Hover or click on a marker for details.

Eight hospitals (red markers) are not designated as birthing facilities by the state Health and Human Services Agency. Green markers denote birthing facilities in Fresno, Kern, Kings, Madera, Merced, San Joaquin, Stanislaus and Tulare counties. Note: Specialty hospitals such as rehabilitation facilities are not included.
