Met Council adjusts growth forecasts for Elko New Market

The Met Council sets population forecasts every 10 years, with updates in the interim. After the Great Recession, the Met Council's decennial projections for growth in Elko New Market predicted less future growth.

The 2005 and 2015 forecasts come from cities' system statements, which the Met Council sends to cities to make their comprehensive plans. The 2025 forecast comes from the Met Council's Imagine 2050 plan, approved this month.
