A dip in the countywide rate for school taxes is causing most Miami-Dade property owners to see a slightly smaller combined proposed tax rate in 2021 tax notices hitting the mail in August. Some municipalities proposed higher local property-tax rates, causing the combined rate to grow. This chart shows the overall change in proposed county and local property taxes in each municipality, and change in the tax most responsible for the increase or decrease. Final tax rates must be established by Oct. 1.
