How big is Philadelphia's Bangladeshi community?

The Bangladeshi community is small compared to the city’s more established immigrant communities. Most Bangladeshis came to the U.S. in the 1980s and 90s through the diversity lottery visa program, which offered a path to naturalization for immigrants without an advanced degree, said Fariha Khan, associate director of the Asian American Studies program at the University of Pennsylvania.
