Tennessee and North Carolina show the smallest pay discrepancy between HBCU faculty and other faculty. In Tenn., HBCU faculty are paid 79 percent of what other faculty are paid. Ohio and Missouri show the largest discrepancies. In Ohio, HBCU faculty are paid about half what their peers are paid.
