Ruidoso Downs evacuation order

The Salt Fire, which is burning about five miles south of the South Fork Fire (see inset map bottom right) made a run that prompted mandatory evacuations of the town of Ruidoso Downs on Tuesday afternoon. The Salt Fire has burned an estimated 7,071 acres.

The map below is current as of 5:59 p.m. Tuesday. The Village of Ruidoso ordered evacuations at 3:47 p.m. Tuesday.
