Three Republican candidates fighting for two open District 1 and District 5 seats on the Louisiana Public Service Commission this year received substantial support from people or entities associated with utilities and other companies regulated by the PSC, according to an Energy and Policy Institute review of campaign finance filings from January 1, 2025 to April 16, 2026.
