Most Genesis Nursing Homes Rated as Below Average by Medicare

In the Medicare star ratings system, where five is the best and one the worst, Genesis HealthCare has a smaller proportion of better-than-average nursing homes and a greater proportion of below-average ones compared with other facilities.

Note: The distribution includes 198 nursing homes that Medicare says are affiliated with Genesis and 14,390 other nursing homes. It excludes nursing homes that lack a star rating for overall quality.
