University debt, FY2016–25

The University's debt grew from $4.87 billion to $5.02 billion in FY 2025. The $150 million increase is similar to the one in FY2024.

Debt refers to notes and bonds payable listed in the financial statements, excluding other liabilities, such as lease and pension obligations.
