Rural Health Funding Varies by State Need, Plans Proposed

Every state received a baseline award of $100 million this year from the Rural Health Transformation Program. States received additional money depending on a complicated formula based on each state’s rural score (rural funding), as well as results from a “technical” scoring system for project proposals.
