In 2000 the wealthiest had more than $10 trillion in wealth, the bottom 50% about $1 trillion. Since then things have improved dramatically for the wealthiest, but not so much for the least wealthy: The wealthiest now hold more than $50 trillion, the bottom 50% about $4 trillion.
