Wastewater Viral Activity Levels for COVID-19

The amount of virus detected in wastewater reflects the rate of infection in the community. A Viral Activity Level between 4.5 and 8 is considered "high," and above 8 is considered "very high."

Data last updated 11/9/2024. The Viral Activity Level is based on the amount of virus detected in the sampled wastewater compared to the baseline level of virus for each wastewater treatment plant. See CDC for methodology.
