K-3 students on a reading improvement plan in Nebraska, 2023-24

Beginning July 1, 2024, Nebraska school districts must annually report the number of students tested for a specific learning disability in the area of reading, how many students in grades K-3 are on an individualized reading improvement plan and, of those students, how many showed growth on related assessments in the year. Of 244 school districts, more than 50% of K-3 students were on a reading plan in 20 districts (8%). Data was masked for 48 districts (20%).
