Gun violence in New Jersey rose dramatically in 2020
Last year, 218 people were killed and 1,052 were wounded in shootings, which increased significantly in New Jersey in the second half of the year. Deaths ended 24% higher than in 2018 and 45% higher than in 2019, and injuries had similar rises.
