Late July/Early August floods in Ruidoso

Between July 30 and Aug. 1, the National Weather Service compiled 21 impact reports regarding flash floods and debris flows in Lincoln County, in the latest round of floods affecting the area since the 2024 South Fork and Salt fires.

The reports included several overrun bridges, a car stuck in the mud, a flooded horse tunnel and multiple impassable roads, in addition to three water rescues.
