No Big Increase In Calls Following 988 Launch

The overall number of calls that the Philadelphia crisis call center received the month following the July 16 launch of 988 increased by only 5%. However, the number of calls that came in through 988 or the 10-digit National Suicide Lifeline increased by nearly 50%. The majority of callers dialed directly to the Philadelphia Crisis Line.

Pre-988 launch period is 6/15-7/15 and post-988 launch period is 7/16-8/14
