Assaults on SEPTA Workers Increasing

SEPTA tracks all reports of physical and verbal assault, including spitting, throwing, punching, threats with firearms and other weapons, and verbal threats. In 2020 SEPTA added a category it defines as “disrespect,” which refers to verbal threats to operators or harassment resulting from in-service interactions with passengers.
