NYC School COVID Cases Over Time (7-Day Averages)

Since mid-December, the cumulative case count — the total recorded all-time — is growing at a larger rate than the new cases reported each day by the Situation Room. This difference means the daily case count reported by the Situation Room does not actually convey how many cases were recorded each day. It's an underestimate.

Each day’s “Change In Cumulative Cases Reported” is the difference between the all-time tally on one date minus the previous date’s tally.
