The Town of Chapel Hill has increased its support for affordable housing 

This graph illustrates the number of affordable homes developed and preserved since the fiscal year 2017. In response to the affordable housing crisis in Chapel Hill, the Town has set a goal of constructing 500 new affordable units per year. In 2020, Chapel Hill experienced a sharp increase in affordable homes preserved.
