Sustained spending on college stadiums and a surge in minor league stadium construction will lead 2023 sports venue construction spending to top $4.5 billion, according to Sports Business Journal’s annual construction preview. That figure represents a drop of 33% compared with the final costs of projects that were completed in 2022, and the lowest since 2015.
