In a Platte Institute telephone poll of 812 likely Nebraska voters conducted in December 2021, respondents were asked: "A proposed tax reform plan called the Blueprint Nebraska plan would make Nebraskans’ first $50,000 of income exempt from state taxation and offer property tax relief totaling more than $2 billion over the next 10 years. These changes would be paid for by ending many sales tax exemptions. Do you support or oppose this plan?" Seventy percent of voters supported the Blueprint Nebraska plan. 37% supported the plan strongly, 33% supported it somewhat, 13% opposed it somewhat, and 8% opposed it strongly. 10% were unsure.
