Attendance trends

Since the 1995 opening of Durham Bulls Athletic Park, more than 30 million fans have attended a regular-season Bulls, Hurricanes, Courage and/or NCFC game. The Hurricanes played their first season at the 18,730-seat Entertainment & Sports Arena (now Lenovo Center) during the 1999-00 season, following two seasons in Greensboro, N.C. The Courage began play in 2017.

Note: The 2004 NHL season canceled due to labor dispute.
^ Excludes one NHL-designated “home” game in Helsinki, Finland.
^^ Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the team played 33 home games in 2019-20. In 2020-21 they hosted 28 dates, all at reduced capacity, including eight regular-season games played behind closed doors.
* The 2020 Minor League Baseball season was canceled and the first six weeks of the 2021 season was played with reduced capacity due to COVID 19-related restrictions.
