Vaccine cooperation for COVID-19 and beyond

COVID-19 brought about a wave of partnerships between countries on the production of vaccines*. This map shows current ongoing and past cooperation in vaccines between China and other countries, based on estimated yearly production capacity.

*COVID-19 vaccines have been the core focus of joint production since the pandemic. However, since 2022, companies have made an effort to include other routine immunization vaccines, such as influenza and hepatitis A, within the production pipelines.
Updates: RecBio is partnering with Saudi Arabia's SPIMACO for the import, fill and finish, and eventual tech transfer of HPV nonavalent vaccines, Sinovac has halted all domestic production of its COVID-19 vaccine.
