EVs' market share for light-duty vehicles in the US
Electric vehicle purchases in the U.S. rose quickly over the past five years. The chart shows their monthly market share among light-duty vehicles, such as cars and pickup trucks.
Lines show a quick rise in EV sales starting around 2019, to over 6% at the end of 2022. Plug-in hybrids have been fairly consistent at around 1%.
