For years, the graduating MBAs at the University of Chicago chose careers in financial services above all others. But last year, for the very first time, consulting overcame finance as the No. 1 choice. Financial services made something of a comeback this year--but only barely. Meantime, more and more Booth MBAs are taking jobs with tech firms, a record 20.3% of the class this year, up from only 12.3% five years ago in 2013.
