The table shows the 30 suburbs where Kiwis can pay off a mortgage the fastest. The table gives the number of years needed to pay down the debt using 30% of median income and 35% of median income.

Valocity's analysis assumes a 20% deposit and an interest rate of 4.5% for its calculations. At the time of the analysis, 4.5% was one of the better one-year rates from the main banks and was prevalent for 18-month offerings as well. However, by the time of publication, rates may be higher. Also used in the suburb calculations is the relevant regional median income, as supplied by MBIE.
