Green-shaded precincts sent a larger share of their votes to candidates critical of Mayor Jacob Frey. Their support was strongest in Northeast Minneapolis, near the University of Minnesota, and the Whittier, Cedar-Riverside and Phillips neighborhoods; and in the southeastern corner of the city. Purple-shaded precincts sent larger vote shares to candidates allied with Mayor Frey. Their support was strongest in southwest Minneapolis, downtown, the Chain of Lakes neighborhoods and on the North Side.
