NYC Rent Guidelines Board decisions

Numbers reflect the percentage increase on one-year leases passed by the RGB, 1968 to present.

In instances where the board issued different adjustments depending on whether the rent included heat, the chart reflects the heat-included adjustment. In 1968, the RGB voted to enact a 10 percent increase covering two years. In 2021, the board froze rents for the first six months of any one-year stabilized lease signed on or after Oct. 1, and a 1.5% monthly increase for the second six months.
