Proportion who think information from each can generally be considered news – by age and political leaning

On average across six countries, younger and older people are equally likely to consider information from institutional sources like experts, politicians, and journalists to be news. Younger people are more likely to have an expanded definition of news that can include celebrities and influencers. Political differences are generally modest, but views of journalists and especially activists vary more clearly by political leaning.
