How Local Institutions Have Handled Native American Remains

The Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act of 1990 requires federally funded institutions to return Native American remains to their tribes. According to an analysis by ProPublica, four institutions in the region have not yet returned over 100 remains for burial.
