Diverse, lower-income areas snub Biden most often

About 21% of Sacramento County Democrats living in lower-income areas either skipped the presidential race on their ballot or voted for a candidate other than Joe Biden. About 20% of Democratic voters in the county's most racially diverse areas made the same choice.

Definitions: Income classification based on median household income of surrounding census tract. Higher income: >$103K; Lower income: <$77K | Diversity based on percentage of non-white residents: Most diverse: >68% of residents identify as nonwhite; Less diverse: <41% identify as nonwhite.
