Americans have slightly warmed to suspected CEO killer

The share of U.S. adults with a favorable or unfavorable view of murdered UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson and accused killer Luigi Mangione, in December 2024 and March 2025, and the change in each person's net favorability

Net favorability is calculated by subtracting a person's "unfavorable" share from their "favorable" share.

Surveys were fielded Dec. 12-15, 2024, and March 14-17, 2025. "Don't know" responses are excluded but were large for each person: 33% in both December and March for Mangione, and 49% in December and 47% in March for Thompson.
