Figure 10. Distribution of the working population by employment sector, population aged 25-59, 4Q24
Table with a heatmap showing the distribution of the working population by sector of activity among people aged 25 to 59 in the fourth quarter of 2024. The employment of immigrants of African origin is highly concentrated in the agricultural sector, which accounts for 15% of Moroccans and 18% of sub-Saharan Africans: no other group has such a high percentage of its workforce in this sector. Their employment is also higher than that of other immigrant groups in industry (particularly the food industry and, within this, the meat sector) and in construction, but lower in the hospitality sector and domestic activities. Within the group, Moroccan immigrants are more prevalent in construction and retail, whilst Sub-Saharan Africans are more employed in the agri-food sector.
