Race & Risk of Lead Exposure

Both Asian and Black children were found to have elevated blood lead levels at higher rates than children of other races.

"EBLL" means "Elevated Blood Lead Level." This data is for all children <6 years old who were tested for lead in 2019. Race categories that did not have reported cases of EBLL >5 or >10 were excluded from this graph.
