Northwestern, Wharton, Michigan, and Duke are regarded as the top MBA programs for Marketing according to business school administrators and faculty leaders. However, employers view these schools a bit different based on pay. Only Wharton grads placed among the five highest-compensated MBAs on average – and the school’s $128,919 average ranked 5th at that. To add insult to injury, Chicago Booth grads earn more than their Northwestern Kellogg peers starting out – and Michigan Ross marketers don’t even crack the $120K mark (the lowest among its concentrations). Overall, Stanford GSB tops the list at $138,863, a $17,000 improvement since the Class of 2015. MIT Sloan, Harvard Business School, and U.C.-Berkeley Haas also cracked the $130K mark here. At the same time, USC Marshall and NYU Stern marketers experienced a $20K pay bump over the past three years.
