Offences recorded by suspects below the age of 'criminal responsibility' peaked in 2021

West Midlands Police estimated* 880 offences by those aged nine and under in 2021. This fell by almost 34% by 2023. However, figures remain higher than the decade prior with 2023's figures being 222% higher than 2013.
