The number of tickets issued for street vending spiked in The Bronx and dipped in other boroughs since DSNY took over enforcement a year ago

Ticketing citywide fell by 22%. The Bronx was an exception.

Note: Staten Island vendors were issued four tickets in the Department of Sanitation's first year of enforcement, beginning April 2023, as well as in the year prior under Department of Consumer and Worker Protection. Tickets issued on the Brooklyn Bridge have been excluded because they do not fall into one borough.
