From Cagayan to China: Black sand production and export, 2012-2014

The Philippines produced a total of 1.75 million metric tons of black sand or magnetite from 2012 to 2014, all coming from Cagayan province. The minerals worth around $41.6 million (P2.263 billion) were all exported to China.
