NOTES: The POST data contain allegations from mandated reports submitted to POST by a law enforcement agency, after that law enforcement agency has received a complaint, charge, or allegation of serious misconduct, whether substantiated or not, against a peace officer, as defined by Penal Code 13510.8(b). There were 10,258 misconduct allegations in 2023, 8,268 in 2024, and 1,055 from January 1 to April 7, 2025.
