NHS England's central admin cost £3.2 billion

The total budget for NHS England's administration and programme was at £3.2 billion in the 2023/4 budget, around 2% of the total NHS budget.
By absorbing NHS England into the Department of Health and Social Care, the government hopes to save £100 million a year.
