Men outnumbered women on the boards of nonprofits with annual budgets in excess of $1 million in 2016. And the imbalance was more extreme for organizations with budgets that topped $10 million, according to BoardSource's National Index of Nonprofit Board Practices. At the same time, boards for nonprofits with budgets of less than $1 million per year were evenly split between men and women.
