This map describes the number of years that a person with a median income must work in each country to be able to pay for a comfortable life. Most developed countries, including North America (except Mexico), Europe, Russia, China, Australia, South America, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia and Iran have similarly low values around 50. Eastern Europe except Belarus (which has a very low values of 37), plus northern Africa, Colombia, Venezuela and Turkey, have values around 60 to 80. Central America except Panama, Cuba, Mexico, and Southeast Asia, as well as Southern Africa, Kenya, Ghana and Mauritania have values in the 100 to 300 range. India, Central Africa, Madagascar, , Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, Papua New Guinea and North Korea have higher values.
