Rates of Syracuse police traffic stops by race, gender

The bars represent the number of times each group is stopped per 100 people. The number was calculated by taking the total number of stops for a quarter and multiplying that for an annual number. That was then divided by the population for each race | gender group.

The department released data from 1,083 traffic stops from April to June 2021. The data is largely traffic stops, but includes some other interactions with the public.
