By Balancing Authority, TVA Not Building Most Gas Capacity (2 of 2)

Actual and planned generator data from EIA for the years 2020 to 2035, along with manual additions of TVA's planned gas plants, reveals that (much larger) balancing authorities are planning to add more gas capacity than the Tennessee Valley Authority is. Among the top 10 largest balancing authorities, TVA is second in net gas additions.

Manual gas additions for TVA: New Johnsonville (500 MW), Cumberland (1,400 MW), Kingston (1,500 MW), Cheatham County (900 MW), Allen (200 MW), New Caledonia (500 MW), Lagoon Creek (350 MW).
