Shootings Down in Some Areas, Up Overall

Police Commissioner Danielle Outlaw touted reductions in shootings and homicides this year in the 1st, 12th, 14th, 15th, 17th, and 26th Police Districts. An Inquirer analysis shows an 18% drop in shooting victims in those areas combined. Overall, shootings remain up 8% citywide over last year, due to a 19% climb in other districts.

Note: The 26th District had a 4% increase in shootings but a 42% decrease in homicides.
