Total subsidies for major meatpackers

In the past 20 years, state, local and federal agencies have provided millions in tax subsidies to major meatpacking companies, across more than 800 subsidy deals. The peak of major meatpacker subsidies occurred in 2016, with more than $60 million promised across 53 deals.
