The homes involved in the feds’ case are clustered in East Baltimore neighborhoods
All 42 properties increased in sales price from 2021 to 2023, but only two were issued a construction, demolition or renovation permit during that period. Roughly one-fifth of them currently have vacant building notices.
A locator map showing the 42 properties cited in a complaint filed by federal prosecutors on Thursday, March 12. The homes are clustered in four neighborhoods in East Baltimore.
Each property is represented by a dot. Eight of them (represented by darker green dots) have a current city-issued vacant building notice, which indicates a building is uninhabitable. The remaining homes are denoted by lighter green dots.
