Security spending

Starting in the 2014-15 fiscal year, Michigan began issuing competitive grants to schools for security upgrades. A look at the amount allocated by fiscal year:

For 2023, the funding will be distributed on a per-student basis to all public and private schools, not as competitive grants. There were no grants in 2016, 2020 and 2021.
