The graph below uses seven data points to plot job growth in the U.S. between 2014 and 2024, as a share of 10,000 workers. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, most professions in decline had already been steadily decreasing—or had even plateaued—in the past decade. Augmentation roles like law and finance, where specialized judgement are required, are ones still growing.
